SCOUTING FOR GIRLS // Bristol Academy:

Biography
Scouting for Girls are a London-based UK pop band formed in 2005 by Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard. Their music encompasses a lighthearted pop style reflecting on childhood innocence and experiences.

The name Scouting for Girls is a play on the words of the Scouting for Boys handbook, first published in 1908 for the Scouts, which provides boys instructions on good citizenship. Continuing with the theme, the SFG fan club is known as the 'Wolfcubs' and is based on the Dennis The Menace fanclub.

Poor Roy had lost his voice the day before the show, and immediately quipped how silly it was that we were all there to hear a singer who had lost his voice - but he (they all) gave a stonkingly great performance! Melodic pop goodness. Here are some shots from the night. Enjoy!
